ArpAssure è un programma che è stato progettato per
assicurare la corretta corrispondenza fra IP e indirizzo MAC presso un
nodo remoto, in modo da minimizzare, se non eliminare, le conseguenze dovute
ad un attacco di Arp Poisoning.

ArpAssure
is a small utility that
has been designed to assure the correct IP to MAC mapping on a remote
network node. This application can be used to reduce the nasty side
effects of "arpspoof-like" and "port-stealing" attacks.
ArpAssure is a part of
Anti Sniff Toolbox
Caution
ArpAssure may not
resolve the problems caused by this kind of attacks.

Utilizzo
ArpAssure è molto facile da usare. È sufficiente lanciare il programma dalla linea comando (un prompt di
MSDOS).
Di default viene utilizzata la prima scheda di rete presente sul computer.
È possibile scegliere una scheda diversa utilizzando il parametro
–i nome interfaccia. |
Usage
ArpAssure
is very easy to use.
From
the command line simply type "ArpAssure" and the program will use
the first network interface card on the computer.
If
you want to specify a different NIC you can use the -i parameter
followed by the NIC name. |

Come
funziona
Il funzionamento è del tutto simile ad un
arp-poisoning. Vengono inviati dei pacchetti ARP_Reply con la corretta
corrispondenza MAC -> IP al nodo remoto, ad intervalli selezionabili
dall'utente.
Oltre a questo viene fornito un piccolo file
BAT che fissa, con il comando ARP, una mappatura statica per in nodo
remoto in locale e avvia ArpAssure |
How
does it work?
ArpAssure uses the same
technique of an arp-spoof attack. It sends forged ARP_Reply packets with
the correct MAC -> IP mapping to the remote network node, with the desired
frequency.
I also provide a small
BAT file that adds a static entry to the remote node, on the local machine
and then runs ArpAssure. |
